Most players will “dabble” at online poker. Almost all people will sign up, load up their cash, and then quickly watch their whole bankroll go bye bye. It does not have to be that way. Online poker can be beat if you simply follow one rule.
Most poker players will pride themselves on either their technical prowess of the the game or their unparalleled capability to read people. I cry hogwash. Sure, this plays a small part in whether you are a consistent winner, however the key word is “small.”
Let’s get right to it. Your poker success or failure comes down to table selection. Who you play with is much more important than how you play. Online great poker is absolutely full of good and very good players. They will take your hard earned money day and night simply because they do it for a living and play 60-100 hours every week online. A lot of the online players will be going to simply be better than you. Guess what? You don’t have to play with the “big boys.” Simply focus your online poker time playing against the weak players. There are many of terrible players our there on the net. They are literally giving their cash away.
You may either give your money to the sharks, or you may take the cash from the weak whales. How do you know who these terrible players are? You watch for them. You sit at your computer and watch tables. You do not play, you sit and watch and you take notes on who is good and who is an idiot, just throwing their poker dollars away.
As soon as you have identified a horrible player or two, you simply join them at their table and patiently wait for the mistakes that they will soon make. I have waited and watched for 4 days before finding a table worthy of my hard earned money.
